Default Progressive front lowering kit trip report

So I took a short 400 mile trip from Erie, PA to Kent Island MD yesterday. I took 79 to the PA turnpike to route 70 on down. I made it to the somerset gas stop with gas left. 192 miles on 4.1 gallons....not too bad. I can safely say a couple of things. One the front springs are great! the front was nice and compliant, stiff enough to handle the big hits but not so stiff that it was harsh. The other is that there are some bumps that no suspension can handle. I am sure I caught air a couple of times. I am really happy with the new progressive springs and the DIY rear air ride worked great. I could soften it up on the smooth roads and add air when it got rough. Overall it was a good ride, a little tiring, but good.

Are the spring kits a DIY job?

You can search for it here or go to chopped baggers and find a huge write up there.

Default Installation Question

Dear Touring Fans,

I also want to lower front with 1".

Does it also works with Lower Fairings ?

I have 2014 with Lower Fairings and "fear" about the remain distance during cornering.

Got her done. I've put 234 miles on it and it seems to work well. Smoother ride? I don't think so, about the same as stock. Handling? much better, no more nose dive on hard stops. Feels more stable on hard curves and take offs from a stop turning left or right is much better.
Best of all I can flat foot good. Over all I'm happy with the kit.
