Default Blown Head Gasket

FYI...Just found out that I have a blown head gasket on my '14 Limited, just turned 2000 miles. Has anyone heard about this being an issue with the new 103? Waiting to hear back from the dealer to see if there is anymore damage. At least it's covered under warranty.

Wow, not good. I think your going to be the exception and not the rule. Sounds like a quality issue failure on the engine assembly to me.

Man that sucks! Have not seen any post on blown gaskets yet. 5,500 and mine runs great and I hit the limiter while running through the gears all the time. I ride mine like a pocket rocket knock on wood. How long will you be out of commission?

I'm supposed to hear something tomorrow, there going to tear it down and check for damage to the heads. If that's the case I'm gonna push for a new motor. I have no idea how long it takes to complete the repairs. They said I'd be out of commission for a little while. There goes my road trip to Michigan this Thurs.

It looks like you have plenty of other bikes for your road trip.

I just got my 14' Road King (10k Miles) back after 23 days. The rings never sealed and had major blow by. Black smoke and losing 1.5 qt. every thousand miles. They replaced cylinders, pistons and the gaskets along with the ECM. Thankfully I was in month 15 of my warranty.

First one i've heart of, Hopefully just one of those things, happens once in a while, my bike has been flawless so far, just a tad over 15,000, hopefully all works out, and you get bike back sooner then later
