Default Is the Stage IV worth it

I was thinking about doing the stage IV on my new Road Glide coming in before I take delivery. I already have the parts for the stage 1. Is the stage IV worth the extra 3k ? How much more hp and tq will I see, from stage 1 to stage IV ?

Thanks,

I'd say break it in, then do the stage I and see what you think before dropping the cash. I think the new 103's are a nice improvement. You may find it to be adequate, if not put some miles on her, and do it during the winter.

If you do the upgrade at delivery it will be covered by your warranty as if it came from the factory.

I had my dealer do a stage 1 before I took delivery (which I regret) and I was told that everything I bought that day was covered under the warranty. Slipons, AC, 4 pt dock and sissy bar.

I believe the HD web sight says that performance parts are. I can only guess you may be having/had a problem from the regret you have, I may be way off line, but anyways you may want to check into it if you are.
Ok I just busted out the 2014 catalog ~ All stages ~ When installed by an authorized HD dealer at the time of vehicle delivery these kits do not impact the vehicle limited warranty.

No problems. My regret is I basically wasted my money and should have just waited until I knew what I wanted. It started with wanting to get rid of the cat to reduce heat but I was also looking at doing a 107 build. At the end of the day I replaced the stock headers, replaced the slipons (could have kept those but they would have been a limiting factor when I do the engine work) and got a PV2. So I paid for the slipons and stage 1 download and a couple months later replaced it.

A few hundred down the drain, I've saved more than that doing my own wrenching. Bottom line is my bike runs much better now and I can definitely feel the increase in butt dyno. I'm happy where I am and will be much more happy after the 107 kit is installed and tuned. 6 weeks!!

That's the main reason I wanted to go ahead and do it. And I don't want to pay to tune the stage 1, then turn around and pay again to tune the stage 4. And I wont have to do the 1k break in but one time. But I don't want to spend the extra 3k, if its just a few more hp and tq. Does anyone know the hp and tq difference between the two ?

Yes but as stated in the above posts, he wants to keep his HD warranty intact
