Default Brake light question?

I was riding today and my friend said that my brake lights were not working?
Yep, I checked the front and then the rear and no light action ?

I checked the owners manual and nothing about a fuse for the brakes. Everything else is ok?

Any suggestions?

Probably not the same issue, but my front brake switch assembly was bad. I had to pull the lever past the point where the brakes engaged in order for the brake light to activate. Dealer ordered a new switch assembly.

I spent two hours at the Harley Service to discover that the BCM module was faulty, which is part of the brake system.

Electrical problems take some time diagnose and they generally start with the small, least expensive things, tracing the system.

That sounds like it could be the front brake switch. Take it to the dealer to check it out.

Glad they got it fixed and thanks for letting us know, something to watch for.

Yep, I had to really squeeze the lever for the brake light to work with my front brakes. I asked the dealer to check it out while they were doing the 1,000 mile service. They've had my bike for 11 days now waiting on the front brake light switch assembly to come in.
