Default My apes

9” HD Chiseled lo on my 15 RG and 12” Yaffes on my 18. Didn’t think I would like the Yaffes...now they’re my favorite!

My bike has changed with more mods.
One of the mods was to move up to 16" JMC apes.
Man they are just great.

Stock clutch and brake cables? If so can you post some pics of them? I have the same bars ordered and plan to install them this weekend.

Default La Choppers

12" Twin Peaks ...(don't consider these "Ape's"),(should be at least a 16 to even get in that category) just a nice high rise , but a whole lot better than stock ..

no wire/brake or clutch removed or replaced ...just rerouted everything ...
drilled and tapped stock bar clamp as well ...

Nice springersforever! Why the drill and tap of bar clamp?

Garrett - SSpeeDDemonSS yes stock cables. Just found ways to reroute them.

My guess is set screws to hold the bars in place? Or too many beers tonight has my mind thinking too much.

Yep, it is a very good idea to pin apes. They will move in a stock clamp with the force needed to move a bike in the grass or dirt lot.

Yaffe makes a supper clamp, and its a lot like what he is doing, pining the bars in place.
