My hubby & I are planning a trip to Niagara Falls for our 30th wedding anniversary this August. What is the best scenic route to take, with interesting stops along the way?

 

Not knowing where in Maine you are coming from, I will assume the north. I would come across on Route 2, nice riding in NH/Vermont, then stay as far north in NYS as the road allows therefore following St Lawrence River and then Lake Ontario. There is a scenic route up there that follows the lake, I forget what they call it, but you can follow it thru Niagara and into Canada. Which I would suggest for my return trip, loop Lake Ontario via Canada and go home that way. Very pretty riding, stop in Montreal on the way home. Good luck.
