Has anyone been to this in the past? Going for the first time with my brother and looking for any tips/suggestions.

We'll be riding out from Long Island that day. I figure hitting the road around 11am.

I guy I went to high school with works for Indian Larry. You can check out his work at " John the painter Indian Larry" Absolute insane talent. I watch his time lapse video's on facebook. They make custom parts from a block of aluminum...crazy stuff

 

We haven't gone in about 5 years. last time we went, it was a bunch of guys standing around to see who looks the toughest. Lots of club guys trying to stare everyone down, not my scene. That said we may go for a beer, but maybe not, lots to happen between now and then.

If you are from the Island you know the ride in ranges from ok to sucks, nothing great about riding to Brooklyn. A win will be no traffic and not rattling anything off your bike. I wish I could tell you it was a great time we go every year, but not my experience. When it was the same day as the Brooklyn Invitational that would convince us to go to both, but the Invitational was far superior. Oh and they wanted you to pay to go into the shop and have the pleasure of drinking a beer in their yard, took a pass on that as well.
