Besides trying on here, are there any other good regional forums or places I could possibly go to meet new people to ride with?

I'm a fairly new rider (few months or so) and none of my friends ride yet so I'm looking to meet friendly new people for good times and new riding friendships .

33, I live on Long Island , not on social media so I have no idea when meets or anything go on.

Check for a local HOG chapter [probably at a local Harley dealership]. These groups usually have regularly scheduled group rides and I'm sure if you attended meetings you could arrange smaller 2 or 3 rider groups with those you have more in common with or similar skill levels.

Not sure where you live but out here there are dozens and dozens to choose from on any given weekend.

Yes, there are cruiser/Harley specific groups as well.

 

I agree with prior posts - definitely check out your local HOG group and Meetup.

just started riding myself.... I'm in the Roslyn Heights area. looking for someone to ride with as well.

 

There's the monthly bike night at Renegade in Commack, could be a good place to start meeting other riders. I live in Islip. You may also want to check out cars and coffee at the old OBI on Ocean Parkway every Sunday morning. Be warned though, this one starts real early, usually people start to roll up around 6am. Heavy state trooper presence on Ocean and the bridges, so be mindful of that. Tons of cars and bikes, a coffee truck and a port-a-potty. Who could ask for more?
