Default 3 day from NJ to New England...recommendations?

Greetings,

My buddy and I will be doing a 3 day bike trip on 8/20, heading up from NJ. We've hit VT a lot in the last few years. Looking for suggestions for other spots in New England to explore....NH, ME preferably.

Thanks!

Mystic Connecticut? I hear the Coast of Maine is nice, and watch for moose, I know they are in Maine.

White Mountains area of NH.
Franconia Notch, Kancamagus Highway is always a good take.

The coast of Maine is beautiful. Lots of good riding there. Bar Harbor is a tourist trap but it's worth the visit.
The area around Lake Winnipesaukee in NH is also nice.

Anywhere in the White Mountains. My Son and I spend 4 days riding the white mountains and stayed in North Conway. Great riding in all directions, even easy to get to Maine cost if you want to.

If you go to North Conway, Stop in White Horse Gear and check them out, great store and even better people.

another vote for white mtns in NH. More good roads to hit in a tighter area than most of Maine, though you could probably work in Evans notch With the whites. Kancamagus highway ( route 112 between Conway and Lincoln), route 302 through Crawford notch, and hurricane Mountain road out of North Conway are all good rides.

Have you tried upstate NY?
I mean, WAY upstate?

Suggestion:
First day - Get to Brewster NY, then Route 22/Route 9 north (Lake George?)
Second day - North to Plattsburgh area (or cut into Adirondacks), then west along the St. Lawrence on Rt. 11 to 137 (stay in Clayton?).
Third day - South towards home (Rt 26 - Rt. 12 to Utica, Rt 8 to Deposit, 17 to Hancock, then get on 97 to Pt. Jervis)

Upstate NY and VT, I've done a fair amount.

I've hit the Finger Lakes, Lake George, Adirondacks, Niagara Falls, whatever the highway along Lake Ontario is, Binghampton area, Catskills, Sarasota Springs, etc. In VT, I've pretty much criss crossed the whole state. Agree, beautiful areas to ride, but I'm looking for new territory to explore.
