I never understood how they determine the northeast states. I'm originally from NY and grew up understanding the tri-state area as NY/NJ/CT. When I moved to VT, I thought of the northeast as VT/ME/NH/MA. I certainly don't see how a state as southern as MD is considered the northeast, but to each their own.

 

And where would you put Rhode Island in that, All by it's self?

 

I like RI! I do include that in the Northeast...
