Default Indy mechanic near Greenfield MA

Can anyone recommend a good independent mechanic in Western Mass? Looking for someone to do twin cam tensioner replacement.

I think they are still in business. Their website is still active.
Have you had good luck with them in the past?

If you have rudimentary tools and skills, you can do it yourself and save some coin. Are you planning on going with something like Cyco tensioners or doing an SE hydraulic conversion? How many miles on your night train?

About 18,000 miles on it. I have regular tools and pretty decent mechanical skills. I don't have the specialty tools for cam bearing removal and installation. I guess I was under the impression that it was a difficult job.

I never used them. I did not own a Harley when I lived in Westfield. I knew they were there for a while.

Relatively easy. HERE is a pictorial from the old Harley Hog Lair site that used to be in existence years back. While having access to some of the tools, there are workarounds. Worth checking, most folks had checked beginning around 25-30k and replaced accordingly. I would open it up and check them and if necessary, replace just the tensioners until you get more mileage and/if you decide on further upgrades like cams, etc.

Cool, thanks you!
First step, I need to inspect the shoes and see what kind of shape they are in.
