Riding MASS sucks! Nuthin to see and too many stupid fukin cagers on their phones or wanna race
A group I'm part of seems to think the Western part of the state is pretty good riding. I'm only reasonably familiar with east of Worcester, and would generally agree with the above.

still better than NYC and its boroughs. Haven"t ridden the entire US of America.
There are a few nice rides in and around MASS. Just haven't found them yet.

Greylock and around Quabbin reservoir are the two I hear a lot of good things about. Also, I guess there's a "Mohawk trail" that's good. Drove a road from Orange to Belchertown, I think on the east side of the reservoir once, and want to get back there on the bike, it was nice low traffic 2 lane in good shape, fairly curvy with some decent elevation change.
