Hello all,
Just finishing the frame up restoration of my 1984 FXR with an EVO motor.
I think I screwed up the routing of the new oil lines. The diagram in the manual is open to interpretation, not very good drawing.
Can some one here tell me what the three lines coming out the bottom right side of the tank are. I know one is feed, one is vent and one is return from the filter. But going from out board, center, and inboard, can anyone help me sort this out?

If you look in the tank, VENT will be the highest tube. I believe feed will be lowest.

 

Which manual?! The factory service manual for your bike #99483-90 has all you need on pages 3-4 and 3-5.

 

That's the manual I have, but looking at the picture my guess was the line all the way to the right was the feed line, but it's not. I drained all the oil so I could look inside the tank and figured it out, swapped a couple of lines and now have oil pressure.
