2016 Softail Slim oil leak?
I have put about 70 miles on my Slim so far and I noticed this today while cleaning the bike up. The bottom most line (of 3) coming from the oil tank into the engine seems to be leaking oil. While it is still under warranty I wanted to get some input from riders considering the Dealership wont be able to look at it till next week.

How did you break in your first 50? By the manual or hard enough to break in the piston rings. Rings need to be set in the first 50 with a proper break in (I know - touchy subject). Not necessarily the method proscribed in the manual.

Don't sweat it!!!! That not only is easy to fix it isn't anything to worry about. a small amount of oil can look like a lot. just keep a eye on it till you go back to the dealer and if you can put a wrench on to make sure it won't come off. Don't over do it

Yup, that leak while annoying, is no danger to ride. Like 5150 said, a tiny bit of oil can look like the Vladez but that'll never show up on the dipstick.
Johnny...why would you try to relate how he broke his engine in to that leak?

I was less than impressed that a brand new Harley was leaking oil (it's like we're back in the 1980's!)
The plastic clips on the oil lines where they connect looked pretty flimsy too.
Did the dealer fix this leak for you?

I noticed the same thing on the test Slim S they gave me last October. This week I got my own new Bike, and after only 40km the same oil leak appeared. While it is not a big problem, it does not inspire confidence in build quality, when you get a new bike fresh from the dealer and the first thing you notice is that it leaks oil.

2016 it is a warranty issue. If it is leaking any oil it is a big problem . The days of HD leaking oil have been over a long time. Take it back have them fix it. Once in a while HD and others end up with a porous case. Oil leaks right through case and into cavities that are not meant to have oil . It then leaks out and appears to be seal between cases or other issue. Best to make sure early. I have had many HD and did get one with a porous case. They warrantied it no problem.

I bought my 2017 FLS on 6/5/17. I broke it in very slowly the first 50 miles, then went for a few short rides. I now have 200 miles on it. I noticed oil leaking from the same place as the OP. I took my bike into the dealer today, from whom I purchased the bike from. Five hours later, I just received a phone call, saying, "It is normal, you don't have a leak. It will stop leaking after the first 1000 miles, they all do that."
I showed the person taking my bike in to service, the oil spatter on the black portion behind the lines, and I put my finger under the bottom line/connection and had some oil on my finger.
First off, How in the hell can they tell me that there is "no leak"???????
Second off, she told me that "there is no charge"............... WTF????? I mean seriously..................
I am NOT happy at all.......... So much for joining their family crap...............

I know You are upset, but I bought my 2016 slim off the floor brand new. I noticed slight oil seep off the oil feed line same as yours.I picked afew more models out and noticed the same thing.I let them know just to cover my ***,after 600 miles it stopped. When they assemble the oil line retainers they over lube them,it is just the excess oil ,it will stop. I also noticed both cylinders at the base where it meets the cases left side also had oil sweat. After 1300 miles it stopped, over lubed o-rings for the cylinder studs is what it was. It will stop, no I am not a Harley mechanic.Keep riding it will stop
