Anyone Using SuperTech 20W50?
#2
I used it for a fall oil change and dumped it early summer the next year. Only had about 1500 miles but it worked fine for that. I am sure you will have people post that since there isn't a motorcycle on the bottle and since the ZDDP level isn't 1400 and since it doesn't cost $12 per quart your engine may spontaneously self destruct if you use it.

Look into Phillips 25W-60 Radial engine oil for air cooled motors

I'm sure you didn't get the response you were hoping for. I don't use it, from what I have read here on the whole oil related topic I see know clear winner. It seems like everyone has their likes and dislikes for what ever reason.
I'm one of the few that runs 20w50 V Twin oil in all 3 holes and everything is good here, I also run Klotz 20w50 V Twin oil, I have always ran Klotz oil since the early 70's with our 2 strokes and then latter with the 4 strokes.

I use it
I use the SuperTech 20w-50 along with a Supertech oil filter. Have used it for the last 50k miles. Scheduled maintenance is the key. Not expensive oil. Safe travels.

the supertec filter comes from champion labs and is good, the oil has diff sources depending on location. in the south central it is bottled by quaker state. since hd uses roller cams, the zinc levels are not critical as much. i use it because it is available and easy to get. i run it 3k miles. i have zero issues with it. sometimes, a jobber i know gets 50wt shell rotella diesel engine oil and i get it, but he does not stock it so i wait till he orders it, not have to pay handling costs for special order.

I've used it in the past. Currently I'm ordering Castrol 20/50 online at a good price so I don't use the Super-Tech now.
I'm sticking with "Dino-oil" in my 1999 motor. Tried going the 15/50 Mobil 1 route for a while and didn't like it so I went back to Castrol.
Caveat: Running Castrol, I change oil every 2500-3000 mi. RELIGIOUSLY.
Folks who know more than I do tell me that so long as I'm doing that, it pretty much doesn't matter what oil I'm using.

Ive ran it before with zero issues. Make sure the oil level is correct and change it in a timely manner, your motor doesnt know a difference. Nothing wrong with supertech oil, I use a wix filter and whatever 20w50 I can find.

I did some 4 ball test with all the major oil and the super tech was a good oil. Asmoil was the best I tested, Second place was Pennzoil. Royal Purple was at the end of the line. All of the test were with 5W-30.
