I just ordered a gallon from Wally World. It was 24 bucks and change, delivered to the store. I'm fast approaching 5K miles since my last oil change so it's an opportune time to try it out...

Hey Dribble, agree, I run Redline Shock proof in tranny, been doing it for 2 years now and could not be happier. I would like to say I have nothing to loose for at least trying Quicksilver as two of my friends broke down and said they use it and really like it. I guess if you do not use a brand name oil it must be embarrassing to admit to using something else. I will stick with M1 racing 4t in primary.

Get the Napa ones there. 1215 for the Evo, I'm not sure for the TC but I know it's different based on the micron rating. I got mine for about $8 per.

I have been running the Quicksilver oil for the past 5 years in 2 TC's. The oil is thicker then the Amsoil and M1. Both motors were quieter using the Quicksilver You can buy it through Wally in Qts or 1 gal bottles. Mercury Marine does not put their name on anything that isn't top quality. If you think Harley owners are **** about maintenance, Mercury customers are more so. It's a good oil and quiets the TC ticking. I only use it in the motor.

I just used it in the engine (only) for my 18 RK fluid 1000K fluid change. It's been great in my 16 RK and I saw no reason not to use it in the 18. I agree, it's quieted both engines down a bit. At 7-9 bucks a quart it's a helluva bargain!
