Primary oil for a 1200 evo sporty
#11
Red Line also makes a 75w-110 that has a viscosity of 20.9 cSt at 100 C.
Very close to the viscosity of Formula+.
Formula+ is a GL1 mineral based gear oil with a viscosity of about 20 cSt at 100 C.

Ok not wanting to start an oil debate, but there's gotta to be something better than formula + for this thing.
Im almost at 1900 miles and things should have worn in by now and all the rough edges taken off. But this dam transmission clunk has gotta go.
Now I know I'm not going to get the silky smooth gear engagement I had on my R6 yam but crikey!!!!.
Now I've heard that red line does a good job in the primary but not sure what weight it is Come to think of it what's the weight of formula + for that matter?.
I'm looking to change both oils in another 1000 so I thought I'd start looking into it with Mobil 1 v twin in the donk and anything other than + in the primary.
Any sporty guys jump right in. Well anyone for that matter, just this clunk has got to go as it can't be good on the trans or chain.
