Default Oil leak

Got a 2016 '72 XL V-twin sportster. Came back after being evacuated from Key West because of Irma. Bike was in a shelter on base in good shape but there was no oil left in the bike by the time I got back. Filled it up and cleaned it up. After starting it went on a very quick ride to find oil coming out of the air intake. Don't know what is going on. First bike and im lost. Please help!

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF. You should have an owners manual for your bike. If it tells you the same as my 2011 Sporty, you should run the engine before checking the oil level in the tank. It's quite possible you've over-filled it, hence the unwanted oil.

If you don't have a manual, go to the H-D website and the Owners tab, where you should be able to download one.
