Switching from Syn3 to HD360 20/50
Currently running Syn3 in my 17 street glide cvo in the engine. Does anyone know if I can safely switch over to the HD360 20/50?

Here is what HD says :
Motorcycles with a Twin Cam 110 engine are shipped from the factory with SCREAMIN' EAGLE SYN3 FULL SYNTHETIC MOTORCYCLE LUBRICANT 20W50.
If SYN3 is not available and addition of motor oil is required, the first choice would be to add GENUINE HARLEY-DAVIDSON H-D 360 MOTORCYCLE OIL 20W50 to the SYN3 for engine lubrication. Although H-D 360 is compatible with SYN3, we suggest the mixture of the fluids be changed as soon as possible.
To switch lubricant to H-D 360, completely drain the SYN3 before filling with H-D 360. A residual amount of fluid will remain. It is not required to flush out the residual fluid.

But just curious..why?
I understand why you might want to move from Syn3...but why to Dino oil...and not something like Mobil 1 or Amsoil?

I've got 360 in my 17 FLSTC, thinking of switching to the opposite and going to syn3 or mobil. Mostly because of cold starts this fall and cold starts next spring.
You should have no problems switching one to the other.

For sure. I'm not too concerned about cold starts. Bike is in the garage when we leave and warmed up good when we stop. No over nighters this time of year as we may be calling for a rescue truck when it snows.

Only looking to switch to a straight weight oil. Not a fan of synthetic. Would switch to HD 360 until warranty is up.

I ride mine to work, so when I leave the house it's in the garage. When I leave work it's 230 in the morning.

Mobile1 15w50 in the engine, works great, low cost, available at Walmart ~$5/quart.
That oil has friction modifiers, so DO NOT put in the clutch/primary; or you will a slipping clutch real fast...

Yeah, but your bike sure is. The cooler it is, the more that oil acts like molasses and thick oil will starve the engine at startup for sure. If you cold weather ride, check your manual, but I'd drop down to a 10w40 or even a 0w40 if you're sub 40 degrees at startup.
