Look at the price?? That is not the US..I I spend the winter south. Interesting but some of the large grocery stores no longer have paper label prices. They have small WiFi digital price tags.

ran two gasoline stations while in high school, a hudson and across the lot a champlin. we sold oil in glass bottles with galvanized pour spouts set in a metal basket. we had to refill them from a bulk tank and sold for a whopping 10 cents a quart. i had to run a few people off, they came for fuel and oil and for 10 cents of oil, i had to clean up 50 cents in what they left behind.
so harley wasn't so bad after all, seems back then, they all marked their spots.

When Shell oil went from the round cans to plastic bottles, their cost was~
Round cans...3.4 cents
Plastic bottles with lids...18.5 cents
I know it isn't much if only a few bottles, but it isn't. It's millions and millions of them...
Nice thing about the plastic is they're resealable.

I have 2 cardboard cans of Castrol GTX 20w50, circa 1982, on display in my garage.
