Oil relief valve stuck?

Oil relief valve stuck?
I have a 1985 FLHTC, this bike had been in storage for five years.
I checked the fluid levels, found the oil 2 qts. low. Started the motor, after 20-30 seconds the oil came streaming out of the Air breather. At this point I learned about the dry sump system and that I had put two Qts. of oil into a system that was already full (just that the oil had drained into the case in the five years that the bike had sat).
Fixed my error and put the proper amount of oil back in the tank.
Now the problem is after running the motor for around 1-2 minutes the rear head leaks some oil and I start blowing smoke from the left pipe. Engine gets hard to keep running, I get scared and shut her down.
Oil light works as normal.
I can't tell if the "relief valve/ bypass" is stuck or if I may have damaged something in the head. I was able to get the cap off and spring out however I don't know how to remove the "plunger or piston". Before I crank it over while having the cap and spring off, I decided to ask.
Thanks for any help.

RE: Oil relief valve stuck?
Where is the head leaking oil from? And by saying the engine is hard to keep running, what are the symptoms - missing on rear cylinder, front cylinder, both, idle drops off, etc.?

The rear head valve cover just above the exaust pipe
And by saying the engine is hard to keep running, what are the symptoms - missing on rear cylinder, front cylinder, both, idle drops off, etc.?
Missing on rear cylinder (a little) idle drops off (for sure)
Thanks for your help.

With the bike in storage that long, it is possible a ring rusted to the cylinder wall. When the engine turned over it broke free, but was damaged. It could also be something in the head with the valve/valve guide. I would not turn the engine over as a broken ring can realy screw up a cylinder wall. Probably time to tear it down.
