Bike has been sitting for 2 years. New oil and gas?
2015 Iron 883. It hasnt been started since 2016 and only has 700 miles. I plan on changing the oil but is it neccessary to change the gas and filter since its been sitting for so long?

IMHO,
Change the oil, filter, and gas, and make sure the tank is clean.
Was there any stabilizer in the gas?
Even if it had stabilizer in it, it may not have been enough to stabilize it for that long a period.
You can answer your own question:
Put some fresh gas (without stabilizer) in a clear jar, seal it and let it sit for a couple of weeks.
Now imagine what happens over a couple of years. It won’t be just the ethanol that separates.

IMHO:
- Drain and change all lubricant oil.
- Replace battery
- Drain gas, and replace with a top tier premium gas, and add a bottle of Techron. Ride it constant to use 1/2 tank of gas. Top it off again, and add 1/2 bottle of Techron. Let it sit for a day...and this should soften up any gunk. Then run it again for a constant hour.

I would and I'd also follow some of the other advice about doing a complete change over on the fluids.
