Automotive sandwich plate?
Hey guys, found this post by CroK
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/oil-a...l-coolers.html
And since he's been banned, I'm looking for a 2nd opinion:
I've got a TC88 FXDX and I'd like to add an oil cooler.
Since I'm on a budget, is there any difference between the automotive adapters and the fancy ones from the MoCo?
Please and thanks
My apologies if this has been previously covered.

Im sure there would be a difference in adaptors. I know its sometimes tempting to save a few bucks, but I would not try and chance it when it comes to the life blood of the motor.

uses a spin-on filter?right??
no diff unless
1. has a by-pass valve in it
2. has a thermostatic valve in it
plain straight adapter will work. just make sure the in/out ports will align with your intended install position to accept the cooler hoses.

There are plenty of optional brands of oil cooler kits that come in a single box, just buy one for your bike. You are likely to waste time and money putting together a mix of parts from several sources.
