when to change the primary oil?

Default when to change the primary oil?
I'm a newbie with my first 2016 fat boy s. i had the hd do the first 1000 maintenance and decided to change my engine oil which i did but my question is when should u change the primary and the trans oil?

Change almost or as often as motor. Trans once a year

change it as often as you like. Oil, no matter what you choose to fill the primary with is relatively cheap and it is literally right there in front of you and easy to do. Certainly won't hurt anything to change it as often as your motor oil.

I did give advise. It was to read the manual. If you don’t have one...ya better get one. Because, none of the replies you got are fact based...they are all opinion.

Edit: FWIW, my 2012 103
Motor Oil & Filter: 5K Miles or 1 year, whichever 1st
Note: do not overfill. fill 1/2-between full and add hot
Primary: 10K
Note: fill to bottom of clutch pack
Transmission: 20K
