Castrol Edge 10w 40?

Not according to 07' owners manual. 10-40 is on the recommended list.

(Harley stopped selling their HD 360 10w-40 oil, but used to recommend it only when used in temperatures under 40 F.)[/QUOTE]
Not quite correct, It was recommended when the "lowest" temperature encountered was 40 degrees.

I'm pretty sure it was intended for temps under 40.

And this is from 07' touring manual:

And both manuals recommend 10/40 below 40 degrees.

07' added the word "lowest".
And both DO NOT recommend 20-50 below 40 degrees.

If he's only going to ride in the winter while temps are below 40, the thinner 10/40 should be okay. In my opinion it's too thin to run year round, and based on the majority here on the forum, it's not worth switching to 10/40 for the winter as most don't ride in temps below 40. Idgaf what he puts in his bike and after his **** head responses, I'm hoping he actually does run the 10/40. He might learn a little about humility and being a cheap mother****er.

Just trying to clarify what "I" read in the manual. And have learned over the years to respect YOUR opinions. Have yourself a great Labor day.
