Default Castrol Edge 10w 40?

Not an oil debate, I picked up 12 quarts for $2 each, Dirt cheap. Normally around $10. Its got nothing but great reviews but will it work in my RK? I dont know much technical stuff about oil but I read something about it being tested at 100c.for breakdown. I added a link of the spec sheet. No idea if the testing is considered good or bad.compared to other oils. I ride mostly in 70 and 80 deg weather which makes me think 20 50 but if this is considered "premium" oil maybe it would be OK. No JASO rating and no Energy Conservation on the label.

Maybe some oil techy people can read the spec sheet for comparison to say Amsoil.

I run Valvoline 20/50 synthetic in my M8 and it's borderline clattery for my tastes. I simply wouldn't put 10/40 in my bike.

It is not. Edit>click on link icon on toolbar>paste link in>save.

Or, just copy the link and paste it into your browser bar. it's not vital.

Why go outside of spec to save a few bucks? Not in my bikes.

And the reason for the spec sheet...Looking for a real comparison.

Again look at the spec sheet and tell me if this will or willl not be better or worse than other oils

I don't care to keep entertaining this little fiasco, but for future reference: Any mechanical questions need to be prefaced by YMM and any relevant mods. Oil threads might also require location so ambient temperature range can be determined.

You have your answer here, but if you're the sort who has to argue every microscopic detail, just say so now. That way I can ignore you and won't be drawn back to a single one of your threads.

Until now I had not thought much about it, but yes, I do feel the need to argue every microscopic detail.
