Yes the cooler gets hot. Not so hot you can't touch it .
But it heats up

Yeah, they do stay cooler than I thought as well. You did say that it works when you jumper it, so whatever it is, it is not a voltage issue. Simple thermal switch, simple contact closure. There really isn't anything magical going on there, CanBUS or not. Is it possible you somehow put it in the wrong port? I don' t even know if that's possible, but I'm grasping.

it was put into the right port and everything was do as per instructions . Jagg tech is even stumped as to why it wont work, he said he thinks I have what they call a Wednesday bike meaning in his words it just runs right and is not getting as hot as I think it is I ended up wiring a toggle switch up for it. and just going to run it that way where the cooler is mounted I can easily reach it so when fell it and it is hot will turn fan on..

I know this is old but did you ever get a oil temp reading. Mine wouldn't come on also with the higher temp sensor. But my oil temp wouldn't get that hot also. Then I tried there lower temp sensor (180) and it would come on. I then checked the original sensor with a heat gun and it worked like they said it should .. oil temp and engine temp can be way different.. I was looking at engine temp off my powervision display not oil temp. I was wrong thinking it wasn't working.
