Put in 2.5 quarts but only got 1 quart out?
2016 Street bob.
Bought it with 1.8k miles. Rode it to 2.5k
Did the oil change and I felt like not much oil came out from the drain plug.
When I put the oil back in to the containers, I only filled up one completely and maybe a third of a second container.
Taking into account some that might have spilled, It's probably 1.5 quarts that came out.
Is that normal? Does some old oil stay in? Was it burnt up?

And i already rode it around, it's not signaling anything and oil level looks fine and it looks new.
Did previous owner just give it to me with low oil?
It never alerted me it was low on oil.

If you only put in 1.3 qts. That’s not enough to fill it. You may have drained the transmission this is why you are not getting a low oil warning . The oil dip stick should not read full with that amount of oil.
Was the motor up to temp when you drained it?
Did you remove and replace the filter ?
Something is not right , check ALL FLUID Levels,
That mistake has been made before ( removing the wrong drain plug)
