I've heard a preference of 3 holes 3 different color's, what oil combinations would help do this?

 

ATF in the primary (red), Royal Purple in the engine (purple), Lucas V-Twin gear oil for the trans (clear). That's one combo anyway.

I'm unclear as to what benefit this would provide though.

 

If a leak were to occur, color points to were to start looking.

Redline shock proof in the trans. Do you have a leak? If not don't worry about it. I don't understand why some have such a hard time finding a leak it's so easy if you keep the bike clean.
