Im new to the forum but not new to harleys. Im selling my 94 electra glide but i wanted to take the oil cooler of and see if it fit on my 2012 wide glide. It fits fine except now when i try to put my oil filter on it hits the stator wire and wont thread on. Ive only ever used harley oil filters but are any other brands shorter or skinnier that i could get past that plug or is the oil cooler just not gonna work.

 

Can't speak to your specific model bike but, the K&P SS oil filter I put on my Sportster is smaller in size compared to a standard Harley Davidson oil filter.
