OIL FILTERS for 1985 - 1999 EVO Era 1340cc Bikes
Just for arguments sake ... I use what FITS ... and is On SALE (usually @ AutoZone)
My current filter is BLUE :-)
(but a rattle can of Spray Paint will make it any COLOR that I desire)
I wrap my filter (no matter which brand) with a CLAM SHELL MAGNET that covers 1/2 the outside of my "cheapie" FILTERS

surprisingly, the WalMart / SUPERTECH ST4967 was rated one of the best "paper" Filters on the market by Consumer Reports a few years ago & was the bargain basement CHEAPEST @ $2.47

Just curious whether anyone is aware if the K&N oil filters previously mentioned are now outdated for 2018 bikes?
I'm new to V-twin and was shopping. I noticed the K&N site don't show the KN-171 supporting 2018 bikes (i'm mainly interested in my Road Glide).
I really hope they still work... They're super easy to remove/install and still meet filter requirements.

With K&N changing where the filters were made and the corresponding drop in quality, maybe it is not a bad thing they are outdated for the 2018s

They changed production locations and quality has suffered. You will likely find some threads regarding this if you run a google search.
