Default SHELL ROTELLA T 15W40

Has anyone used this diesel oil before? I just did a fluid change this past weekend and used it for the first time. Seems to run great. I used it in the primary and crankcase and both seem real smooth. I went with bel-ray in the tranny. I found the shell website for rotella and the forum has a lot of sucess stories. just curious if anyone here has used it. I run an '05 ultra classic.

Thanks

God Bless, ride safe.

Andy

ultraindy, i will get the website for the article i read on it and post it when i get home. it convinced me to give it a try. HD recommends a CI-4 diesel oil if there's is not available. 15w40 diesel they said runs even with a 20w50 according to the article i read.

I used Rotella synthetic 5-40w on my cars, current suzuki and other bikes before.

I have not use it on my 06 deuce yet. Isn't 5-40w too thin for Harley? Harley take 20-50w oil.

The 10w-40 would be Ok for normal cool weather riding. It's too light for summer riding, IMHO.
