My Friend Has a 98 Ultra with an evo motor that the oil pressure is pegging at idle and the oil light is on. There are no wierd engine noises. If anyone has seen or heard of this problem before, help me out! Im at a stand still. Thanks.

 

There is a short somewhere in the wiring involving the oil pressure sender, most likely.

+1 I would replace the sending unit if it has never been touched. Possible wire pinch as well. Might be a good idea to test the circuit first. Also, check for a short in the fuse box. Last possibility would be the guage. Did this occur after washing the bike?
