Default Winter Service

2006 883C, put about 3000 miles on it last year (would have been more but I bought a house and spend a lot of time working on it) and changed the oil at the beginning and end of the year. It says in the service manual to change the oil in the spring also...I use HD conventional oil. I don't want to be using oil that is broken down or degraded but it has virtually less than five miles since the oil change.

Do I change it or leave it?

The bike was also serviced by the dealer at the beginning of last year, I wasn't planning on bringing it in this year, what are some of the important things I should pay attention to while servicing in myself? What should I change or adjust and what should I just leave alone with only 3000 miles since the last service?

Thanks.
