That is correct. 1st one @ 1024mi when I bought the bike in May. 2nd one @ 3521mi before my 2 week trip in late July. And 3rd one @ 8000mi when I returned from my 4500mi trip early August.

Smile What brand ... I guess it depends on the size of the engine? Type of use?

Hi there

I am Mauricio
I have a Deuce 2001 motor 88 and 20w50 Full Syntetic works fine, because I use the bike for traveling and hanging around the town.
But, I also own a Ultra Limited 103 for longer trips and not for the town, and the oil 20w50 Full Syntetic burns, its a pain. Last time, I loss the gear and the motor turned off several times.

Another HD friend told me to swith into 20W50 for Diesel motors for the Ultra Limited.

Default Amsoil

I use Amsoil in everything from my Freightliner to my Honda push mower. Run the best oil you can afford.

Just put in MOTUL RSD V-Twin Syn 20w50, MOTUL RSD Twin 75w90 Syn Tranny Gear Oil, & MOTUL RSD Twin Syn Primary Chaincase Oil. All with ESTER. I'll report back soon on my opinion of it.

I'm sure the Valvoline is just fine but I've been using Mobil for years so I'm not going to change now.
I've used the last of the Valvoline oil and decided to try the Mobil 1. I ordered the Mobil 1 for the next oil change. About $2.00 dollars more per quart. But the Mobil 1 has a more robust additive package. Thanks glasspilot

Amsoil has an even better additive package - especially for long term storage.
I use to use and sell Amsoil, but now I buy whatever "motorcycle specific" syn oil that's on sale. To me they're all just fine.

I look for quality and value but usually stick with the same oil. I'll just look and wait for any sales deal out there.
