I just did the Mobil 1 V-Twin "in all 3 holes" scenario on my 2013 Wide Glide 103. I think it might shift slightly smoother, but overall no major differences. Finding neutral seems to be a little better now too, but it may be in my head. Absolutely no adverse reactions as of yet. Full synthetic gives me piece of mind and DIY is pretty cheap when buying it from Walmart.

20-50 for engine
75-90 gear lube for tranny
dextron III for primary
I prefer atf for its cleaning abilities and will not have clutch plates stick in colder weather. as far as chain and gears automatic front wheel cars use chains and gears and are quiet happy with the atf
and as long as you use the right oil ratings it is user preference to brand, oil ratings is the key to it working or breaking down and not working
synthetic oils are more for heat disbursement and if an engine or trans has not used synthetic in a lot of miles you may get leaks regular oil leaves residue around seals and gaskets, synthetic oils will run thinner and will clean dino oil away from seals and may cause leaks where there were none before. older cars have this problem also

I use redline primary...but to be honest just the chance to change the oil from the previous owners neglect was enough........shouldn't need to go back in for a coupla seasons.

Run same in engine, primary, and trans
Have a 02 deuce number 8 out of 150 made in tangerine pearl with flames custom factory paint. Got the bike from my pops with 3k miles on it an was rarely ridden. He had run screaming eagle synthetic in it prior but I now run valvoline synpower 20w50 in the engine trans and primary and it runs and shifts so much better. Clutch operation is much smoother as well. Bike now had 9k on it and just did the fluids again on it. Got the tip from my service manager at Hyundai who has owned Harley’s for years and had just picked up a new road glide. He told me to try it and u will feel the difference and sure as **** he was right. I was worried to think using it in the primary and trans may cause some gear whine and clutch slippage but nope it actually performed better then it did with screaming eagle fluids in it. Anyone else using 20w50 motor oil in all 3?

Just my .02 cents worth my friend. But you might be better off using the Valvoline full synthetic 20W-50 motorcycle specific oil for your engine.
Cheers
