I have a 2005 HD Road King with 19Kmiles. Was using small amount of oil when oil had 2K miles on it and I topped off when fueling. I change oil at 5K miles but change filter at 2500 miles.

Question...at 4K miles on oil, it stopped using oil. I had noticed the rear plug had some oil on it when I serviced the bike.

What would make it quit using oil?

Rings finally seated.

Synthetic oil takes along time for engine break in.

Rings were so loose that fuel is now filling the crankcase to replace consumed oil. I'd sell the bike and buy a new one.
