Oil filter question.

Anybody use a OF-015 (Volar Motorsports) oil filter?

I'm about to buy one for my 2005 RoadKing. I wanted to see if anybody has already used them, and hear what you thought about them. Thanks..

I've been using the black HD version, but wanted to try something else.

Looks like it is made by Hiflofiltro. Who also makes the K&N filters for motorcycles. Hiflofiltro is also OEM for most metrics and is sold under several house brands. Theres a good reason for that too. Its one hell of a filter. You can avoid the extra mark up by just getting the Hiflofiltro.

The description reads exactly like Hiflofiltro, check them out.

Are you not satisfied with the OEM filter?

If the OEM is 11bucks, and I can get a better one for 7$, I would be willing to try it... But I'm interested in your opinion.

The OEM is way over priced for what it is. The Hiflofiltro, what the filter you are asking about looks like, has over 100 more square inches of better filter media. The body is also much heavier. You can feel a huge difference just in weight. Last time I bought Hiflofiltros it came to just over $15.00 OTD for 3 of them at a local shop.

Order a few, I bet you will be more than satisfied with them.

Here's an update: I just ordered 4 Volar/HiFlo oil filters from D2Moto. Price is $5.89 ea and free shipping, less a discount code BF35 for additional 35% discount. 4 filters delivered under $16.00. They do have the nut on the end, like a K&N. They only come in black.

I was wondering if the volar has anti drainback valve, Thanks

Does anyone know if volar OF-015 has anti drainback valve

Looking in the hole it looks like they do have an anti back flow valve or bypass valve, not sure.
