Hey any of you guys have experience with the service dept at Mackie's? Just want to know if its worth checking them out or just ride out to HD Cycles to see Donnie Peterson.

Mackies is O.K, Bob Hewitt is a good guy, but Donnies or Milestone Motorsports is a much better way to go. Milestone is at 701 Brock st North, Whitby. Alex is at 905-665-7888. He used to work at Davies, and Mackies and did a stint in England at Triumph. Great knowledge, plus they have a machine shop and a dyno. A real complete shop.

Cool did they just open up recently? They look like they're at the back of the building...not very impressive outside so I didn't bother going in, maybe I should give them a try.
Thanks!!!!

Don't let that decieve you. it's a real wrench shop. You're not paying for a showroom, or some bimbo receptionist that has no idea about bikes. He has the best tools you will ever see in a bike shop, a complete machine shop, that means they can do head work, cranks etc in house, a dyno, what HD dealer do you know that actually has a dyno, and ton's of experiance. Just go around back and look at the bikes he's working on. That will explain it all.

As you can tell, I'm not real big on paying a shop for their expensive surroundings. I'd rather pay a wrench for his abilities and commitment to having the best tools, knowledge and desire to satisfy me. I hate giving my bike to a service manager, and not knowing who is going to work on it. i want to talk to the wrench, before, and after the work that is required.

Have you had some work done there? I need a few things done and want it done right while not getting soaked by the dealer.
