Canadians rock the world and we are humble about it. My son just got back from Europe backpacking and was in Holland and they practicaly adopted him when they found out he was Canadian and when he told them his Granddad was a Canadian soldier that was there for their liberation he was an honored guest.

Come on Red, Celine Dion rocks the world??????????? You have to be joking. Ha ha. I'm only kidding. Two of my all time favourite performers are Jim Carry and Mike Myers. Very funny men, I think. I also have many Canadian cousins living in Ontario, around the Ottawa region. Rock on.

I really enjoy this thread, but am getting almost as tired of the name of it as that "Sporty" thread. Everytime I miss a few days, something pops up on here and I wonder what happened to Clammy.
Oh well, almost always worth reading anyway. Art

G'day Clammy. I've many cousins around Ottawa because my GG uncle emigrated there from Devon, England in the 1830's. His best known descendant who lives in Douglas, in the Ottawa Valley is a 4th cousin of mine called Dave Lemkay. He is the CEO of the Canadian forestry. Type his name into Google, there are plenty of pages with him in them.
We will be in Ottawa for ouf family reunion on the 20th of August at " Maplelawn ", a heritage listed walled garden residence that was once owned by a Canadian branch of my family.
Do you know of Maplelawn, in Richmond road? There is now a restaurant in a section of it called the " The Keg Manor ". I'm looking forward to the get together, should be good fun!
