2nd Annual Oregon Country Fair Peach Ride
Last year on July 1st a few (3) of my coworkers and elders at the Oregon Country Fair decided to ride out of fair at 9am on July 4th and head up into the coastal range of Oregon.
The time came and we were twenty deep.
The cast of characters ranged from young hippy bucks to the big scary guy on the 12 foot sled. all related to OCF in one way or another which makes us family. the weather was amazing and the roads where a pleasant challenge.
upon returning to Veneta Oregon we were greeted by the fourth of july festivities that fair puts on for us... the public has never had the opportunity to see this party... until now.
We decided to do it again, and this time we are inviting EVERYONE that can roll out with us at 9am from the center of the fairgrounds. Come spend the fourth of July with us. we have a million dollar fireworks display (that we get for free), we and bands and beer and merriment.
This year the plan is to head out into the coastal range again but we have a very special stop at an original MERRY PRANKSTERS house to have lunch. Legends of the 60s that changed the world.
after lunch we hit the coast and head south for a bit, then back inland to the fair grounds.
normally we keep the OCF grounds locked down from the public for 362 days of the year, we are opening it to you.
if you've ever been to the fair as public you have no idea how much fun we have when you are not there... be prepared to stay the night.
why are we doing this? we have motives...
working at fair is a hard job to get
and the budget committee isn't too keen on throwing down for new people... unless we provide our own food and materials. we are tryin to start a new crew, ELIGHTENMENT CREW... to light up the night and the soul.
this is a donation basis, anywhere between $0 and $1000000 will be accepted and given to the budget committee in hopes of bringin more people in for the exclusive fun that was started 45 years ago by Ken Kesey and the Grateful Dead.
do not miss it, where else can you do this? and people are more interested in the bike than the nekid guy?
