We have thousands of miles of riding year round. The best variety and scenery in the US. People come thousands if miles away to enjoy them. If we charged by the mile and user it would be less than many states.
Can’t recall anyone planning a road trip to North Dakota, Mississippi, Delaware or Iowa.

 

Worst roads in the country. And worst traffic. It is almost impossible to ride in mexafornia anymore

2018 SGS was $273 for renewal a few months ago.
My 2016 Ram 2500 and OL's 2014 Subaru, just under a grand.
A little on the high side IMO.

 

I'm in your neck of the woods, though my bike is the second most expensive registration of our "fleet" I think I paid around $300
I take that back. I just checked it was 196 for a 2013

 

I wouldn't commute without it.

 

They're lucky. They get to leave the state once they're done riding.
