*SOLVED* ARH PanAm

*SOLVED* ARH PanAm
As far as we have checked all of the PA are wired incorrect at the wiring harness connecter at the rear shock.
This causes the bike and the suspention to behave incorrect.
If your bike doenst return to the lowest shock position right before you come to a stop you probarly need to check the wiring aswell.
If you take of your seat, there are a bunch of connectors.
On the right side there is 1 connector with 8 wires, 4 white, 4 black.
This is the shock absorber connector.
On the mating side you have the main wiring harness.
At the shock absorber connector, the wires should be alternating white, black, white black and so on.
In the main wiring harness, on 1 side there is a sides a black wire on 1 side and there is a black/blue wire on the other side. There should be a black wire from the shock absorber connector mating it.
If not, it is wired wrong
There are also two pair wires in there with a thick insultion around it.
On it there is a number, one ends with 00 the other with 01.
Pin 1&2 have the 00 wire in it and 7&8 should have 01 wire in it.
As far as we have seen, all the pairs are installed at the right place but the pins are not.
This causes the bike and the suspention to behave incorrect.

We have seen only 1 dtc after we changed the wires. (There were 4 at first) This dtc does not effect the handleling as far as we know. I guess it would be good practice to ask your dealer to do the BCM update and recalibrate the suspention now when everything is connected as it should. Just to be sure.
We are still researching what the difference is between just changing the wires and changing the wires, bcm update and the recalibrate the suspention.

Interesting find by OP.
My bike has both the 3-4 pair and the 7-8 pair reversed.
I don't have ARH so the 7-8 pair are of no consequence to me, but I assume the 3-4 pair affects the semi-active suspension that is present on my bike. Curious if there would be a noticeable difference if the wires were switched to match the schematic.

so I often get the ARH not lowering when coming to a stop. I know in advance because when I start the bike if the orange triangle warning light comers on I know my bike won't lower.
For the first time, I tired something new. When my warning triangle lit up at turning on, while I pulled out of my street, I stood up on the pegs and jounced the bike there or four times, the warning triangle light went out and my bike lowered when I came to a stop. These are my wires below.

I have a 2022 with ARH. It is NOT wired according to the diagram posted here so i took it in. I noticed the ARH not working either. I took the bike in to have it checked out. The dealership called me after doing their thing and said its working fine. Its not throwing any codes and the ARH works according to them and they said they checked the wiring harness under the seat and its wired accordingly. Upon pickup the tech visually showed me its working by having the bike turned off while sitting on the bike pushing the suspension up and down a handful of times and turning the bike on and you will see the bike lower. Apparently while riding it needs to build up. So, on the way home i bounced the bike some and when i came to a stop i felt it lower.
Mine is wired
w,b,w,b
b,w,b,w
The color coded wires are same as this diagram as well as the numbered wires. So, Is mine still wired incorrect and my ARH NOT working properly? Maybe only half the suspension is lowering? The dealer taking me for a ride? I dont see why they would on such a simple warranty fix. Is there a difference between the 2021 and 2022 harness diagram?
