My opinion is that HD likely spent a boat load of money developing and bringing the Pan-Am to market and really aren't seeing the sales needed to justify such a spend. Offering it in a CVO is likely their attempt to try to boost sales of the model, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a smaller version to help as well. My reason for saying this is that I noticed that the put 1250 on the decals this year, which I don't remember seeing before and also they got rid of the base model and are only showing the Pan AM special. I'm thinking they will introduced a smaller engine model (as has been rumored for quite a while) as the base and then the special will be the 1250. Just my prediction.

Doesn't make sense to me. Why make a CVO of a model thats not selling well? Some areas of the Country the Pan America sell pretty good., but over all they do not.
If its going to be fancier like most CVO's end up being, are people really going to want to take it off road? I guess we will know a lot more on the 24th. |
This makes so little sense... Unless it has substantial upgrades, not paint, badges and some farkles, who is the customer for this exactly?

I wonder if they will make it pretty or functional with all the bells and whistles for serious touring?
One I would be interested in…. The other meh. |
The harley magazine I received today showed the paint scheme and S-W panniers and a waterproof duffle, orange frame/crash bars, SE quick shifter, that is all

I've already made mine the way I want, so probably NOT paying upcharge for one. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.hdf...e0aa7817ec.jpg |
