remember its not the same unit as the shovel cone its spins backwards from a shovel cone -- I will check my self about the bearing unit for a pan as it might not have been riverra I don't recall - but the life savor in all of this is a magnetic trigger instead of the points - cant believe the play and wiggle it does not care about the points do

 

looks like the Rivera unit will suit, '70 up, so I will get onto sourcing a unit.

 

Rivera advance unit, extremely hard to source. not likely to find one I'm told

 

go on V Twin catalog site as a guest click it then put in 32-9261 its an import copy yes I have used them - they are also adjustable in 3 different RPMs to total advance 1400 2000 and 2600 so you can tailor to the engine needs

Found a seller on Ebay USA, with NOS Rivera unit, waiting to see if he will ship to OZ.
Shop page states no international sales, waiting to for a reply, not hopeful though.

 

I can at times get them I will look tomorrow and make the call,

no one I buy from has them in stock and has no idea when they will get them

I will order the tedd cycle one and let you know when I have it if you want that one instead
