Default Update....

.... I took the front pipe off, and took it down to the shop. The head mechanic is an old iron expert, and he ordered up a dual exhaust system that should work. He will have to cut off the flanges off the ones on, and make them fit to the new exhaust. He has done this lots before.

I also ordered up floor boards, a solo seat and springs, a sissy bar, a rear fender rack with a removable ****** pad. I will also be getting a set of fender mount leather bags and a few other shiny bits.

April she has a date at the shop and i said I wanted it for May riding.

Still more to do, but that will be next winter. I want to take the frame back to stock, just not sure if I will with the one I have, or flog it and get a new replica frame. Either way, I will have to paint it. But, that is next winters decision.

Went into the shop yesterday, and all the bits are in..... so should be in a week or two they do the job. I will have pictures of before and after. Right now she is in the back office with a cover over her, and I ride the eGlide when I can.

The plan is to get her road ready for early May. Ride around the local area for a few months, then on a 4 day shake down tour to a HOG Rally about a days ride away (but I will take 2 coming and going)..... then Sturgis, which is about 4 days @ 200 miles a day away...... That should be a 2/3week Journey.

Thats all Robin @ Harley-Davidson of The Kootenays. A top flight fabricator who is a complete mechanic as well. He has built a lot of customs, is their head mechanic and as comfortable around the old Iron as he is building high Horespower modern engines. And one hell of a nice guy.

My ideas, his execution. Wait until I take the close up of the welds of where he attached the true duals to the flanges. It’s not welding..... it’s art.
