Not quite done as I thought. I had a good talk with the seller about not having the bike ready for me after driving a total of 1000 miles for nothing.
The bike is back in play.

Judgment is being clouded....i would never ever ever buy from somebody that stuck it up my azzz that bad. I would set a time to pickup it up and call him a bunch of times telling him i was running late than tell him to shove it up his azzz around midnight.... its not a rare bike . This guy is obviously a bullship, artist frim the first go round...walk away. Dont be in a big hurry.....they good ones end up finding you........not like you need it...good luck....

Hey Bump you are not one to sugar coat things and I appreciate your style. I've been looking at shovels again since this pan now has a cloud around it that can't seem to get cleared away. I did get my full deposit back on the pan within a day after not picking up the bike and a couple of hundred extra for part of my troubles. My time, gas, hotel and aggravation are worth more. Having said that he was under no obligation to refund anything more than my deposit.
Time to cut bait.

its a classic used car bait in places like the city - they try to lure and hook you with a token

shovels are electric start maybe right now that is not a thing to be concerned about - but it will be some day if you intend on owning for a life time

pans are cool but not as roadable in MY opinion - can they be made sure - but that's the cost verses the cost of a better machine

MY opinion - pan is a 50 55 MPH machine - cone shovel is a 60 65 MPH machine - i am taking 20 years between overhauls - keeping with the twinkie bunch - they don't after a few weeks its trash - endless money will be needed to prove a no point

flat side shovels are almost a pricy as a pan today - the next collectable today is 1970 to early 1977 only after that is iffy as AMFs influence was not a good one
