S&S 89cc Super Stock Cylinder Heads work well with engines of stock displacement, but are ideal for somewhat larger stroker or big bore engines up to 110".

89cc combustion chambers provide a compression ratio that's slightly higher than stock, but still manageable.

Larger intake and exhaust valves maintain port velocity for good low and midrange response, but supply enough air for bigger engines to perform to their full potential. On stock Twin Cam models, the intake ports flow 182 cubic feet per minute while the 89cc heads deliver 264 cubic feet of air every minute. This, combined with the increased compression, provides for a reliable boost in power. And the included S&S high-performance valve springs allow the installation of camshafts with up to .650" lift, though you can certainly use your stock cams, too.

For 2006 and up models, each set of heads is compatible with stock rocker boxes, exhaust, and intake manifold to greatly simplify installation. Earlier Twin Cam engines, when using stock pistons, will require valve pockets to be machined into the pistons as the larger valves need the extra room.
