Cleaning question

I live in the country too, closest paved Road is a mile and a quarter... my bike is always Dusty when I get home, as soon as I pull it in the garage I blow it off with my air compressor... when cleaning I always spray it down with some form of quick detailer... never touch the paint with a dry rag or duster

Been using this stuff for quite a while. Works EXCELLENT and smells good too. I keep it in the saddlebag with a clean microfiber when I hit the road. It is Plexi/Lexan, Chrome, Paint, and Vinyl compatible. Can't go wrong!

First of all, I know this is over a year old. What do y'all think of Lucas Oil Slick Mist. I used it on my 96 Road King for the 6 years I had it and it worked great. Now that I have a black 19 Tri Glide, I don't want to use something that will harm the finish. I've been going through the pages to find out what types of waxes and cleaners people use and this is the first posts I've found that pertains to cleaning.

First, don't use wax. Wax is a dust magnet and everything sticks to it. Use a sealant or a ceramic coating.
Black paint is unforgiving. Proper washing and drying techniques are most important. Use quality soap and wash media. 2 bucket wash is a must!. Dry with a electric leaf blower or similar, not gas powered.
For just dust waterless wash and microfibers that are designed for waterless washes. Again, quality products and proper technique can't be understated.
Stay away from the dusters. All they do is drag stuff across the paint. You want something that lifts dust off the paint.
Once again wax is a dust magnet and it doesn't last. Great for a show car though.
Before someone mentions pledge, leave the household chemicals in the house
