Removng corrosion from grey painted casings...
Hi guys.
I have a 2009 Dyna FXDB with the grey coated engine and casings.
This winter, i forgot to spray protectant on the bike before garaging it up for the winter, and now i have a kinda egg-shell black mottling/corrosion on the primary casing.
Does anyone have any tips/tricks for removing this corrosion?
It obviously wont come off during regular washing, and hasn't shifted with proper S100 style gel-cleaners. I'm thinking that perhaps it won't come off unless i use something that is more reactive?
Any help appreciated.
All the best...
Richie.

Had this problem with my gray motor. The finish was neglected from the last owner like it was never cleaned. I used it all, Simple green, s100, scotch brite and wd-40 nothing worked.
I ended up removing the motor to PC the frame and just painted it with VHT wrinkle paint. its been like this for a year plus now and the finish still looks great. If you resort to painting it just make sure you prep good. Remove all dirt, grime, oil and grease.
